ABOUT
Why we built Okareer Lens
Interview preparation should start with knowing what the role needs—and help you understand whether your experiences and answers actually prove it.
What Okareer Lens is
Okareer Lens is an evidence-first interview preparation product for professionals preparing for a specific role.
It starts by turning the target job into the capabilities and evidence the interview may ask you to demonstrate. You can then organize the real projects, decisions, results, and experiences you may want to draw from before practicing with role-specific questions and follow-ups.
The goal is not simply to help you sound more polished. It is to make clearer what you can actually prove—and what may still leave an interviewer uncertain.
WHY OKAREER EXISTS
What conventional interview preparation misses
Candidates can spend hours polishing answers without first knowing which capabilities, decisions, or evidence the role actually needs them to demonstrate.
A fluent answer can still leave the most important questions unresolved: What did you personally own? How did you make the decision? What changed because of your work? Does the example really show the level this role requires?
Okareer exists to make those questions visible before the real interview.
The question we care about
Most interview preparation asks:"How can I give a better answer?"
Okareer asks:"What does this role need me to prove—and do my experiences and answers actually prove it?"
WHAT WE BELIEVE
What we believe
Role-first preparation
Better preparation starts with the target role—not a generic list of questions.
Signals over fluency
A fluent answer is not enough if it does not establish the evidence the interviewer needs.
Evidence under follow-up
Important claims should still hold up when the interviewer probes ownership, reasoning, trade-offs, and impact.
Focus on the right gaps
Good preparation prioritizes the gaps most likely to matter for the role and interview.
Honest uncertainty
We show uncertainty rather than pretend every conclusion is exact.
Prepare the evidence, not the script
Strong preparation is not about memorizing perfect answers. It is about knowing which real experiences, decisions, and proof can support your claims.
HOW WE BUILD
A lean team, close to the product
Okareer is intentionally built by a lean team that keeps product judgment, user feedback, and technical execution close together.
The product started from a product manager's frustration with a common interview-preparation problem: candidates are often taught to polish answers before they know what the role actually needs them to prove.
That perspective still shapes how we build. We prefer focused workflows over generic question banks, explicit evidence over confident-sounding guesses, and honest uncertainty over pretending the system knows more than it does.
TRUST & LIMITS
What Okareer can—and cannot—tell you
Okareer uses your target role and the information you provide to structure preparation and evaluate what your interview answers actually establish.
It can help identify what a role may ask you to demonstrate, which experiences you may want to prepare, which claims appear supported by your answers, and what still seems unclear.
It cannot know an interviewer's exact thoughts, predict a hiring decision, or guarantee an offer. Okareer is designed to support preparation and self-assessment—not replace employer judgment or professional advice.
